What are 'Checkpoints'?
✔️ Checkpoints are located within topics and serve as 'End of unit tests'.
✔️ A checkpoint is made up of a selection of questions from the lessons preceding it. They usually have five questions per lesson.
✔️ Checkpoints have an overall time limit (as opposed to time limits per question like in 'Test mode').
✔️ You can move backwards and forwards throughout a checkpoint and change your answers at any time before you submit it.
✔️ Feedback is provided when you have completed the checkpoint and not after each question like in 'Test mode' (this is accessed through the 'Review answers' button at the end of the checkpoint).
✔️ Your teacher can see each answer you give to a question in a checkpoint and they can track your progress.
✔️ You cannot access your notes in a checkpoint.
How do I start a 'Checkpoint'?
1. Head to your courses page (see here for more information on how to do this).
2. Located throughout the course you will see yellow circles labelled 'Checkpoint'.
3. Click on the checkpoint you wish to take.
4. Before clicking 'Start checkpoint', it is worth seeing which lessons are being tested in the checkpoint, as a checkpoint contains questions from a variety of lessons within the topic. Do this by clicking on the down arrow next to 'See checkpoint curriculum'.
5. When you are ready, click 'Start checkpoint'.
6. You will now be able to see how many questions you have to complete and how long you have in total to complete the checkpoint.
7. When you have finished, click 'Submit checkpoint'.
8. To access your feedback, click 'Review answers'.
(Note that you can also do 'Checkpoint' quizzing as part of an assignment set by your teacher. In that case, you will need to click on the 'Assignments' tab and click on the Checkpoint assignment to complete.)
