Problem : Standard teacher accounts cannot create/manage users/groups. This means that when you login, you do not have the users or groups option simply the "students" option.
Solution : Contact the school admin at your school or your Head of Department who will have the rights to create users and groups. or ask your Head of Department to edit your account level (see here for more detail: Changing User Roles).
